Not all students learn at the same pace or in the same way. By having two co-teachers per classroom, we are able to focus on differentiated instruction, small group work, independent learning, and a high teacher to student ratio.

While many educators in Zambia grew up under a very didactic, chalk-board centered teaching style, our teachers spend five mornings a week learning about cutting edge strategies, evidence based methods and styles of student engagement that are meant to meet the needs of todays student population.

FCS teachers teach with the brain in mind which means being cognizant of what children require for their brains to store long-term memory, access creativity and feel safe to communicate needs without worry. Through positive classroom management, trauma informed teaching and healthy teacher-student attachment, we are educating the whole child - mind, body and pirit.
